Ever done a 5K?  Never done a 5K?  Ever thought about it?  You can start training next week (Monday, October 1) and be ready for the Grizzlies House 5K on Saturday, December 1.  The Living Well Program has assembled three different training programs aimed at three different kinds of race participants: first-time walkers, walkers who want to try jogging, and seasoned runners who are looking for a new challenge.

If you’re in the market for a walking or running buddy, send an e-mail to wellness@stjude.org with the following: your name, department, e-mail and phone contact information, which training program you plan to follow (if you’re not training for a race, please indicate whether you’re a walker or a runner), and the time of day and day(s) of the week you’re looking for a partner or group.  We’ll put people with similar interests in touch with each other.

 

St. Jude & WellWorX Sporting Clubs are joining forces to help you Live Your Best Life through the St. Jude Wellness & Fitness Program!

We know, we know…everyone wants to be healthier, but we either don’t have the time or we have no idea where to begin. The St. Jude Wellness and Fitness Program can help!

Managed by WellWorX Sporting Clubs, the program offers employees on-site group fitness classes, physical assessments, seminars on various health topics, nutrition tips and recipes and interaction with your very own Wellness Coordinator!  Welcome Letter from Kendra!

WellWorX will be working on creative ways to get you going this summer and on your way to living well!  We will work with St. Jude to organize walking groups on campus and offer group training for such events as the St. Jude Memphis Marathon and the Memphis to Peoria Run. Employees can also take advantage of special membership rates at WellWorX Sporting Clubs with two convenient locations:
