The Rules Have Changed!
In a decision that will fundamentally change the future landscape of tennis in the United States, the USTA recently passed new rules governing competition for 10 and Under Tennis tournaments. The new rules require that 10 and Under tournaments be played using slower-moving and lower-bouncing balls, on smaller courts and utilizing shorter, lighter racquets.
It’s a whole new ballgame for kids tennis! With equipment and courts tailored to suit their needs and abilities, kids will feel confident as soon as they pick up a racquet. 10 and Under Tennis played using the QuickStart Tennis play format allows kids to rally back and forth over the net right away and enjoy the game right from the start.
Your child must be evaluated by a Wellworx tennis instructor for group placement, prior to
registration.
QuickStart Academy offers instruction for the following age groups:
Young Champions: Ages 5-6
36' court, 19", 21' or 23" racquet, low compression balls.
Young Champions: Ages 7-8
36' court, 21" or 23" racquet, low compression balls.
Young Champions: Ages 9-10
60' court, 21" or 23" racquet, low compression balls.
PAYMENT REGULATIONS
1) Payments must be made for the entire 4 week session
2) Payments must be made on or prior to the start of the session.
3) If you do not register your child for the entire session a drop-in fee needs to be paid every time your child attends a junior development class.
4) Credit will not be given for missed classes unless it is due to a school function or due to illness. In both cases a note must be provided from the teacher or doctor - Thanks.
5) If JD is cancelled due to inclement weather classes will be made up.
